Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT OF ROOFS AT VARIOUS POSTAL FACILITIES LOCATED IN THE GREENSBORO DISTRICT SOL 362575-97-A-0188 DUE 021997 POC Pat Kidd, Procurement Specialist, (910) 665-2841. The work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for and incidental for general construction work to repair and replace roofs at various leased and postal-owned facilities located in the Greensboro District. At the discretion of the Contracting Officer, one or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors must have a minimum of five (5) years' experience, as of the date of issue, in the areas of concern. Contractors must also possess the capabilities of working at least five to ten jobs at the same time. Contractors must be able to show proof of General Contractors License from the state(s) in which the work will be done. Normal liability insurance for this type of work will be required. Specific work orders will be issued by the Contracting officer in accordance with the unit price schedule and specifications. One or more "Work Orders" will be issued totaling not less than $10,000.00 nor more than $250,000.00 during a 2-year period of the contract. The initial limit of $250,000.00 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the Contracting Officer up to the maximum of $3,000,000.00. The U.S Postal Service guarantees no maximum number of work orders nor a specific amount other than the minimum contract amount of $10,000.00 set out above. The work in any one building shall not be less than $500.00. The solicitation packages are available at $45.00 per set, non-refundable: referencing Solicitation No. 362575-97-A-0188 (only one solicitation number on a check).
