(504) 862-2888 The Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District
requires a new 26 foot (nominal) workboat with a towboat style hull;
constructed of all welded steel, divided into a minimum of three
watertight compartments by transverse bulkheads, have a forward mounted
pilothouse of no less than six by six feet, be powered by twin diesel
engines and twin screws. Minimum and maximum dimensions include overall
length of 25 feet to 25 feet six inches, beam 13 feet six inches to 14
feet, depth four feet six inches to five feet, and light displacement
of 30,000 pounds maximum. Minimum scantlings include three eighths
inch hull plating, quarter inch deck plating, three sixteenth inch
superstructure plating, half inch headlog/sternlog. The workboat shall
be of current standard design, shall be modified and outfitted to meet
the Corp's required use of maneuvering barges. Delivery is required
