BLVD, APG MD 21005-5001 70 -- PEP MODULAR SRAM MEMORY BOARDS SOL DAAD05-97-B-0010 DUE 022897
POC Contract Specialist Kevin Clark 410-278-0890 (Site Code DAAD05) The
U.S. Army Aberdeen Proving Ground Test Center has a requirement to
purchase forty (40) PEP Modular Static RAM Memory Modules. Technical
requirements are as follows: 1) The memory model is VMEM-S2 which is a
Static RAM Memory Module that shall have 8 Mbytes capacity. Size
standard for the boards shall be 3U (Single Height) VME-BUS. 2) The
boards shall have two independent memory banks containing sixteen
32-PIN sockets. The 8 Mbyte configuration shall have sixteen 512K*8
SRAM memory devices installed. This configuration shall have both banks
being fully populated with high-speed SRAM chips. The access speed of
either memory bank shall be separately configurable, but shall be less
than 100 nanoseconds. 3) Data retention shall be provided by an
on-board battery backup for the entire 8 Mbytes of SRAM, enabling data
retention to be bank selectable. The battery backup source may be
provided by either the VME+5V Stand-by line or with a VMEM-S2 on-board
Lithium Cell Battery that has a data retention capacity of up to 300
days. 4) Boards shall have accidental erasure of SRAM, avoided with the
VMEM-S2's software write protection circuit. This is an important
safeguard that shall be software controlled via control bit. 5) The
boards should provide as a standard VME-bus slave interface (A24:D16)
that has a low power consumption and ruggedized construction. 6) The
VMEM-S2 board shall operate in standard and extended temperature ranges
(-55C TO +85C). 7) Board size shall be 100mm X 115mm. 8) Connector
shall be DIN-41612 style-C (96-PIN). 9) The address modifier codes
shall be jumper selectable in the following ranges:
3E/3D/3A/39/2D/29/1F-18/17-10/38-3F. 10) Boards shall have an operable
humidity range of 5% TO 95% non-condensing. To receive a copy of the
solicitation you may send your requests by fax to (410) 278-0899/0900
or mail in a written request to the Directorate of Contracting, ATTN:
