USACECOM Acquisition Center -- Washington is soliciting comments from interested parties on a draft specification/statement of work for the SSTS-1 acquisition. It is anticipated that the draft spec/SOW will be available for downloading from our BBS (703 428-0864; 28.8 baud) and at our Website (http://issaa-www1.army.mil) on or about 3 Feb 97. No hard copies will be available. The SSTS-1 acquisition will provide for upgrades and enhancements of personal and portable computers (486/586 based) and servers (486/586 based) currently in the Government's inventory that have been purchased under various standard IDIQ contracts within the last three years. The contract will also include a warranty of newly installed items. Upgrades/ enhancements will be installed on-site by the Contractor, mail-back factory installation, or user installed. Comments on the draft spec/SOW are due at this office on or before 10 Feb 97. No draft RFP is anticipated. A final RFP will be issued on or about 1 Mar 97 with a closing of 1 Apr 97. (0024)
