The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT)
intends to increase the quantity of accelerometers required under
contract N66604-97-C-0998 with Vibra Metrics, Inc. of Hamden, CT.
NUWCDIVNPT intends to acquire an additional 200 units on a sole source
basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1): Only One Responsible
Source. The new accelerometers must be identical to the equipment
purchased in the past so that they may be used in conjunction with the
previously purchased accelerom eters; Vibra Metrics, Inc. model 9002A
per the following specifications: Sensitivity @ 100Hz is 100 mV/g plus
or minus 20%, Frequency Range plus or minus 5% is 8 Hz to 15 kHz, at
plus or minus 3% dB is 2.5 Hz to 25 kHz, Turn on time (2% of final
bias) is < 5 seconds, Amplitude Range is plus or minus 50 g peak,
Mounted Resonance is 50 kHz, Noise (wide band) is .00055 g (rms),
Broadband 2.5 Hz to 25 kHz is 550 u g (rms), spectral 10 Hz is 160 u g
square root Hz, Spectral 100 Hz is 15 u g square root Hz, Spec tral
1000 Hz is 5 u g square root Hz, Transverse Sensitivity (nominal) is
5%, Output Impedance (nominal) is1.000 Omega, Ground Isolation is Case
Ground, Bias Volts (nominal) is 7, Power Requirements is 15-30 Vdc@1-8
mA cc, Temperature range is -40 degrees F to +250 degrees F, Maximum
shock without damage is 10,000g, Base Strain (nominal) is .005g/u
