The Government intends to contract with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace to perform feasibility studies and advanced planning efforts to determine Delta intermediate class vehicles capabilities to support prospective missions. McDonnell Douglas is considered to be the only source possessing the unique capabilities required to perform the contract, and as such the solicitation will be issued on a sole source basis only to McDonnell Douglas Aerospace. A task order type contract is anticipated. Estimated period of performance is 60 months. The date set for receipt of proposals is approximate. This notice is for information only. Justification to permit contracting with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace has been prepared using citation 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as its authority.
