Objective and rationale: The measures form part of the measures regarding emission requirements for combustion installations and are in line with the Dutch Government's policy to control acidification of the environment, as most recently laid down in the National Environment Plan 2. The measures are required in order to approximate as closely as possible the interim objective for acid deposits, prescribed for the year 2000. 8.
