NIMA'S BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY DAY NIMA Announces Its First Business Opportunity Day FAIRFAX, Va., -- The National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) announces the agency s first Business Opportunity Day to be held Mar. 18, 1997 at Fort Belvoir, Va. This conference will be conducted at the unclassified level and will offer the agency s senior leaders an opportunity to open dialogue with industry representatives to identify the NIMA future direction and upcoming business opportunities, and communicate the agency s needs. The agenda includes briefings on the NIMA Business Plan, outsourcing, contracting and streamlining initiatives. Information displays of NIMA products and systems will be staffed throughout the day. Contracting and program personnel, as well as small and disadvantaged businesses utilization specialists from the agency will be available to discuss current and upcoming requirements. The conference will be held at the Defense Logistics Agency facility at Fort Belvoir. Due to space limitations, the agency must limit participation to two individuals per company location. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The main auditorium seats 400, but video- linked overflow rooms will provide space for an additional 220.
