Carter, 907/753-2551 Description of work to be performed: This job entails covering the inactive portion of the Fort Wainwright landfill with various layers of soil. The type of soil to be used in the cover includes: unclassified fill, classified fill, topsoil (and seed) and a low permeability layer of silt. Compaction and soil gradation are critical elements of this project. A sheepsfoot roller is required for compaction of the low permeability silt layer. Responders are advised that the requirements may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, selection, evaluation, negotiation, and/or final award process based on decisions related to DOD changes and disposition of the Armed Forces.
