(214) 819-7216. The project is a new construction owned postal facility
containing approximately 29,528 square feet with a steel frame
construction on concrete foundation. Exterior is masonry with metal
stud backup. Interior is metal and partitions with painted gypsum
board. The facility will have a retail store. There is
interior/exterior electrical work, HVAC, concrete paving, irrigation
and landscaping and miscellaneous Postal specialities. The site is
located on the southeast corner of Double Creek Drive and Bryant Drive
in Round Rock. Estimated cost range $2,150,000-$2,500,000 and
construction time is 240 calendar days. Successful offeror must submit
their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority-Owned, and
Woman-Owned Business initially and thereafter with their progress
payment requests. The contractor must subcontract with minority
business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% of the total
value of its subcontracts. A 20% proposal bond is required on all
proposals. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100%
Performance and 50% Payment Bonds. Offers will be received in this
office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on February 26, 1997.
Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on
January 24, 1997 at a cost of $75.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable
by check or money order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded

(210) 223-9492. Checks or money orders must be made payable to MARMON
MOK. Since this is a request for proposals, offers will not be publicly
opened. The number of offers received, the identify of the offerors,
the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of offeror will not
be disclosed to anyone until after award of a contract is made and the
request is submitted in writing. Plans may be inspected at the issuing
