PRESOLICITATION NOTICE -- The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required for complete construction of the approximately 11,890 square meter "warehouse". Work includes construction of a steel framed building with concrete panel and concrete masonry unit exterior, containing, but not limited to, interior and exterior storage spaces, offices, conference rooms, restrooms, and incidental related work. Site work includes grading, paving, utilities, fencing and lanscaping and incidental related work complete and ready for use. -- A preproposal conference will be scheduled, with a date to be published later. -- This is not a public bid opening. -- The estimated cost is over $10,000,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 450 calendar days. -- Proposals will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1541 and the annual size standard is $17 million.—It is recommended the subcontracting goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting effort. -- Proposers should request in writing stating RFP number N68711-97-R-8228, with complete name, address, area code and phone number and whether bidding as a prime/subcontractor/supplier. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. -- Solicitation packages may be acquired in person from Plan Issue or by mail. -- Telephone requests will not be accepted. -- There will be a charge for plans and specs that is yet to be determined.
