The Federal Aviation ministration (FAA), Western-Pacific Region, under the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) hereby publicly announces its intention to contract for installation of Government Furnished Engine/Generator, Automatic Transfer Switch/Bypass Isolation Switch, and Load Bank with control panel and related/associated work for Runway 24R, ALSF-2, at the Los Angeles Internatioal Airport in Los Angeles, California. The estimated dollar range for this procurement is between $25,000 to $100,000. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition and salvage/disposal (according to project plans, specifications and terms and conditions) of existing engine generator, transfer switch, and load bank, other electrical, demolition, piping and miscellaneous work as specified by and in strict accordance with project plans, specifications, and terms and conditions. It is anticipatedthat Request For Offer (RFO) DTFA08-97-Q-03676, will be issued on or about February 3, 1997 with responses due 14 calendar days after actual date of issuance. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximun line of credit is $500,000.
