Aeronautical Systems Center, Propusion Development System Office (ASC/LP), has been directed to place a Firm Fixed Price order for twelve F100-PW-229 F-15 Increased Performance Engines (IPE) under the existing Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, F33657-94-D-2001, awarded to Pratt & Whitney on 28 Jan 94. The basic contract planned that orders would be placed. This acquisition is Order Number 0048. The current acquisition encompasses combat aircraft production engines, engineering assistance to production and services (EAPS), data, warranty, and associated items including inspection and testing and engine software, as specified by contract line item numbers 0056AC, 0068AC, and 0072AC. The required engine is fully developed, qualified, and has demonstrated the capability to support the mission of the requiring user. The Contractor is authorized to receive and store classified material up to and including Secret classification. The Contractor receiving this award is classified as a large business.
