management and operating contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE)
at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL) is issuing a
Request for Information (RFI) concerning remotely operated excavation
technologies to be used in excavating and retrieving buried hazardous
and/or radioactive waste. Technologies might include remotely operated
excavators or portable gantry cranes. This is not a Request for
Proposal, but a Request for Information. This RFI will close 15 days
after publication. Companies interested in supplying information on
hazardous waste excavation and removal should send their response,
including applicable qualifications and demonstrated project experience
