C -- DESIGN RENOVATION OF MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT CLINIC PROJECT DUE 030397 POC Contracting Officer, Sylvia D. Henry, 706-731-7175 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, requires Architect Engineer services for the design of Project 509-97-152, Renovation of Mental Health Outpatient Clinic, Uptown Division. Services shall include100% design, specifications, drawings, construction cost estimate and construction period services. Firms must be able to show experience in health care renovation, especially work associated with outpatient clinics dealing with mental health treatment. Firms must have a registered architect on staff with expertise in this area. Firms must be able to provide specifications on 3 1/2" floppy disks in word perfect version 5.0 and original reproducible drawings on 3 1/2" floppy disks in autocad R12. Evaluation factors include, but are not limited to the following: (1) professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; (2) specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3) capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4) past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work and compliance with performance schedules; (5) location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; (6) demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered material and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design; and (7) acceptability under other appropriate evaluation criteria. Area of consideration is restricted to firms within a 75 mile radius of Augusta, Georgia. The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Interested firms are requested to submit SF 254, A/E and Related Services Questionnaire, and SF 255, A/E Related Services for Specific Projects, to Contracting Officer (90C), VA Medical Center, One Freedom Way, Augusta, Georgia 30904-6285, by close of business, March 3, 1997.
