Vye, Contracting Officer; (307) 775-2635/2694 This modification changes the solicitation number from F48608-97-B0001 to F48608-97-R0005. The title changes to Add to and Renovate Missile Alert Facilities in Nebraska and Colorado. All request for packages of the original solicitation will be honored. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment and performing all work for all selected construction sites, taking only one Missile Alert Facility (MAF) site totally out of service at a time. Sites are located within the remote vicinities of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming; Sterling, Colorado; and Kimball and Sydney, Nebraska. Work at each construction site includes: some minor demolition of existing 4,302 SF wood frame constructed MAF, to include asbestos removal, utilities and asphalt paving associated with the new construction; construction of new additions to the MAF includes: primarily wood, framing with steel siding on exterior walls, asphalt shingle roof, wood trusses and joists, interior partitions of gypsum wallboard on wood and metal studs, casework, HVAC, electric water heater and remote storage tank, plumbing, electrical wiring, and lighting. Period of performance is one (1) year with two (2) optional years. Estimated cost for construction is $2,500,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. (0024)
