C -- SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT POC Renate Rainboth, Contracting Officer, 914-838-5263 Engineering firm to provide a complete design to repair/replace the existing sewer main, laterals, man holes and correct sewer plant deficiencies. This will include full survey of complete sewer system and development of recommendations. After consultation with Engineering Service a full design will be developed for bidding purpose for Project #533-97-128. This will include site visits to verify existing conditions, preliminary plans, working drawings, construction period services and detail cost estimates. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 100 mile radius of VA Medical Center, Castle Point, New York. Estimated construction range is between $250,000 and $500,000 dollars. Selection criteria to be used in selecting firms shall be as outlined in FAR 36.602-1 and will include, but is not limited to: a) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of the required service to include: Civil or Mechanical Engineers with license in NY state, and CAD specialist; b) examples of specialized experience and technical competence in the various disciplines required for the specific project; c) past job experience and performance on Government contracts and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedule; d) location of the firm or working office providing professional services, including consultants, within a 100 mile radius of the project site which is located 3 miles north of I-84 on 9D; e) volume of VA work in the past 12 months based on fees received; f) qualifications and performance of sub-consultants proposed for the project; g) computer capabilities, including drawings on AutoCAD Release 12 and Specifications on Mircrosoft Word 6.0. This project is set-aside for an emerging small business firm. Firms desiring consideration shall submit Standard Forms 254 and 255 by COB March 3, 1997. Award is pending availability of funds.
