COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 30,1997 PSA#1772NETWORKING SESSION The General Services Administration (GSA) Office of
Enterprise Development in conjunction with the GSA's Public Building
Service, Office of Property Acquisition and Realty Services is hosting
a networking session for the purpose of enhancing prime subcontracting
opportunities and small, small disadvantaged, and women-owned small
businesses the National Real Estate Service Solicitation
(GS-02P-96-CVD-0006). This will be the only GSA sponsored event,
conducted for enhancing such opportunities under the solicitation.
Under Solicitation GS-02P-96-CVD-0006, the successful offeror to
provide both "lease Acquisition Services" and a variety of specific
"menu Services" items. These services are required in detail as part of
the solicitation. the successful offieror will be required to comply
with all applicable Federal Procurement laws and regulations in
performing the work required by the solicitation. Over eight hundred
firms have demonstrated an inerest in the acquisition. It is
anticipated that approximately 8 prime contracts and a multitude of
subcontractors will be awareded under the procurement. The networking
sessions will allow the potential proposed competing prime contractors,
interested large businesses, and number groups of small, small
disadvantaged, and women-owned small businesses the opportunity to come
togaterh and exchange business interest with the hope of establishing
teaming agreements under the solicitation. Possible subcontracting
oppportunities may include: Project Management, Leasing Services, Space
Planning Appraisal Services, Fire and Life Safety Inspections Services.
To ensure that the potential prime contractors and the small business
representatives have time for effective commmunications for
establishing partnerships, only the first 80 small businessesto
register will be allowed to participate in this networking session.
Only one representative from each firm can be accommodated. the
networking session is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., January 31,
1997, at: The Holiday Inn Central, 15001 Rhode Island Avenue, NW,
Washingtonm DC 20005. If hotel accommodations are neccessary for the
event, please contact the Holiday Inn at (202) 797-1078. For your
convenience, the Holiday Inn will provide complimentary van
transportation form the McPherson Square Metro Station (White House
Exit) every half hour from 1:00 p.m. -- 2:30 a.m., and an afternnon
drop off during the event. There is no charge for the event. If you
