Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company (TOLIC), which is currently under contract with HCFA for Medicare Part B claims processing, is seeking information on a high-volume automated mail processor. Equipment must contain the following features: (I) Mixed Mail Feeding capabilities (different sizes flapped, unflapped, seal and unsealed). Weigh on the Way and a differential Weighing Platform, on-line sealing, stacking options. Preset impression must be displayed. Automatic or advance dating capabilities, tape selection with option to program a selected quantity wet/dry. Postage by phone capabilities should be an option. Must contain a security control center with P.C. interface to monitor and track accounting information. Accounting must be able to interface with Pitney Bowes Info Management System, and do diagnostic trouble shooting. Ability to Preset up to 9 jobs. (II) OTHER REQUIREMENT: (1) The cost for 3 yr., lease, purchase option, maintenance cost, key operator training, and equipment installation, must be broken down separately. Maintenance must be available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., (2) fi~ve client references, (3) previous experience, (4) Small and Disadvantaged Business -- Minority/Woman Owned Business Enterprise SADBUS/MBE) qualification statement. Vendors quotations will be evaluated 70% on cost and 30% on providing and meeting the requested information in technical and other requirements, in I and II above.
