D -- 70 -- SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE REAL-TIME INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (RIMS) SOL N63394-97-R-2104 DUE 022897 POC Contract Specialist, JANICE CAVE, (805)982-0427, FAX (805)982-0640 The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, CA, anticipates issuing a solicitation for the continued support of the life-cycle maintenance services for the Controller's financial system, Real-time Integrated Management System (RIMS). The services consist of program and technical management, quality assurance/control, configuration and data management, advanced planning, operational maintenance, and emergency services. Services will also be required to investigate and correct the RIMS to achieve Year 2000 compliance. The Contractor will be required to modify hardware and software to provide fault free performance in the processing of date and date related data, including calculating, comparing, and sequencing all data when the dates are in the 20th and 21st centuries. The Contractor shall supply tools, techniques, and personnel with suitable skills and experience in systems engineering, quality assurance, and test and evaluation methodologies to assist the RIMS Project Office in insuring the RIMS program meets all requirements within established schedule and budgetary constraints. A complete statement of work will be provided with the solicitation. The period of performance will be for a base year beginning 01 October 1997, and one option year. The Government anticipates a cost-plus-fixed-fee, level of effort, type contract. It is estimated this effort will require 19,740 labor hours for the base year and 21,620 labor hours for the option period.
