USDA, Forest Service, Six Rivers National Forest is issuing a negotiated contract to conduct murrelet surveys at 89 random sites on the Happy Camp and Ukonom Ranger Districts of the Klamath National Forest and the Lower Trinity and Orleans Ranger Districts of the Six Rivers National Forest, Humboldt and Siskiyou Counties, California. The project will be for an estimated 356 murrelet surveys as well as collection of vegetation data and conducting land bird point counts in 1997 with a one year renewable option. Technical proposals will include (1) organization/management, (2) record of past performance and (3) production capability and capacity. All work will be conducted between April 15 and August 5.
