T -- ELECTRONIC PUBLISHING OF A/E DESIGN GUIDELINES POC The POC is Robert A. Lindquist (703) 516-1960 The U.S. Department of State, Office of Foreign Buildings Operations, is seeking qualified firms to electronically publish the ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR U.S. DIPLOMATIC MISSION BUILDINGS (GUIDELINES) and referenced publications (approximately 150) onto CD-ROM media for internal use by this agency. HTML coding for linking referenced publications from citations in the GUIDELINES shall be generated by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for securing the referenced publications, scanning them using Optical Character Recognition (OCR), and these will be included along with the GUIDELINES. The Contractor shall query publishers, and shall be responsible for securing releases and permission for the use of each copyrighted publication. Firms that are interested, should the Government advertise a future requirement for these services, should submit a letter of interest to this office by February 14, 1997. The letter of interest should include the Standard Industrial Code(SIC) or codes which your firm operates under. You should also include the SIC code that you would expect to see this type of service listed under, as well as the rationale behind your choice.
