Maintenance and Repair of Substations, switch gear and transformers at Naval Weapons Station Earle, Colts Neck, NJ. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and supervision necessary to perform the inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair of all medium to high voltage, switchgear and substations: including transformers, regulators, breakers (mechanical and oil filled), reclosers, insulators, pot heads, and equipment. The voltages range from 480 phase to phase, up to 34.5 kv. The maintenance service shall include regularly scheduled inspection, maintenance and test procedures, and emergency service calls 24 hours per day, seven days a week including holidays. The resultant contract will be a combination firm-fixed price indefininte quantity type contract. All work shall be completed in strict accordance with the specifications. The Standard Industrial Classification code for this procurement is 1731. The solicitation will be issued as unrestricted -- open to large and small business concerns. Performance period will be for a period of 12 months commencing not later than 30 days after notice of award. The government has the option to extend the term of the contract.
