Weather Emergency Assistance Center (MWEAC), located at Bluemont, VA 20135 is conducting a Market Research to determine if sources exist who are capable of satisfying the Agency's need and who meet other requirements as identified below. The MWEAC has a need for rock bolt maintenance, roof repair, and related work. The Contractor would be required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment in order to accomplish the work efforts. Work consists of: roof (rock) stability testing; scaling and removal of unstable rock; inspection, testing, repair and replacement of rock reinforcement components (including rock bolts, chain link fabric, mine ties, and associated hardware); painting exposed rock reinforcement components; grouting and concrete repairs; demolition and replacement of sheet metal duct, drip pans, and miscellaneous building components; selective demolition, repair, and replacement of standing seam metal roof and corrugated metal roof;dust and moisture protection. FEMA anticipates issuing a Requirements-type contract (with Option Years), making multiple awards against said document, and issuing individual Task Orders to the successful Contractors, as work efforts are identified. Potential Contractors shall possess a Top Secret or Secret Facility Clearance and a Virginia (VA) Class A Contractors License. This Market Research is to discover if Small Business Contractors are available to perform the work efforts identified above (i.e., experience with SIC codes 1622 and 1761), and possess the aforementioned clearance(s) and VA license.
