Wasniewski, Contracting Officer, 201-724-2164 The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC has a requirement for the manufacture of the Cartridge, 25mm, Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot with Tracer (APFSDS-T), M919. The quantity is 255,000 rounds with an FY98 option for an additional 330,000 rounds. This cartridge will be used by the Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV), and is designed to defeat a specific target by the use of the Depleted Uranium (DU), higher length to diameter penetrator, and high energy propellants. The government intends to award a sole source contract to Olin Corp., Marion, IL. See Number Note 22. (0030)
