The Propulsion System Evaluation Facility located at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for two (2) air receivers to support the following propulsion test systems: Rotor Spin Facility (RSF) and Fuels and Lubrication Testing Laboratories (FLT). The RSF air receiver will be used to manifold three compressors, serve to dampen pressure pulsations, and provide a volume reserve to keep the compressors from short cycling during multiple drive turbine operations. The FLT air receiver supports the operation of the Ryder Gear Test. The Ryder Gear Test is used to evaluate the load carrying capabilities of gas turbine engine and helicopter gearbox lubricants. The RSF air receiver shall be a vertically mounted 3800 gallon ASME standard receiver. It shall not exceed six (6) feet in diameter and twenty (20) feet in height and shall fit on a seven (7) foot by seven (7) foot concrete pad. The FLT air receiver shall be a horizontally mounted 3750 gallon ASME standard receiver. The length of the receiver shall be 27 feet. This particular requirement will be procured using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). A request for quote will be sent to any prospective offeror who requests one. Award will be based on low price, technically acceptable offer. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the Navy. All requests shall be submitted in writing to the address in block 7 of this synopsis or faxed to the attention of Tom Semones (301) 342-1161 and must be received within 15 calendar days of this notice publication.
