This public notice is also to request that any suppliers wishing to participate as a subcontrac tor in the procurement program of this product should declare their intentio ns to that effect. (2) Overview : Urgent Path Satell ite Communication equipments,those are easily portable connects small earth stations using a Ku band. It has a 52Mbit/s transmission pass. Requirements for the equipments are as follows : 1) Antenna i) Requirements, -Frequency band for satellite communications:Ku band (14/12 GHz),-Installation:The ant enna diameters are limited to about 1.8m, and must be able to connected to s mall earth station. It must be able to be separated and transported by peopl e in an elevator. 2) Modulator-demodulator unit i) Requirement,-Communica tion service : high-speed data a communication by a 51.84Mbit/s optical inte rface for small earth station.(based on ITU-T G707), -Circuit connection met hods:Pre-assign connection, -Necessary functions:Supervising function for the modulator-demodulator and alarm transferring function to the operating s ystem., -Installation:Portable installation (transportable with ordinary hu man strength) 3)Other : Urgent Path Satellite Communication System consis ts of an antenna,a modulator-demodulator unit and a transmitter-reciever equ ipment. NTT prepares a transmitter-reciever equipment. Outline of the trans mitter-reciever equipment interface i) antenna side -input and output frequ ency band : Ku band (14/12GHz) ii) modulator-demodulator unit side -input a nd output frequency:1.2GHz and 140MHz (3) Contents of RFI: NTT is inviting the following types of information on a product or technology similar to the above-mentioned system. This is not, however, a request for suppliers to pr ovide proprietary and/or confidential information, (i) Technical informatio n, 1) Electric characteristics, i)Antenna -- System diagram, antenn again, antenna off-beam radiation pattern, transmit output power, input and outp ut VSWRs, transmitting and receiving frequency range, interface condition between external equipment and this system, power consumption,noise tempera ture. ii)Modulator-demodulator unit -System diagram, modulation and demodu lation, operating threshold C/N and bit error rate, phase noise, transmissi on speed (bit/s), information speed(bit/s), error-correcting method, inte rface condition between external equipment and this system, power consumpti on, 2) Functional characteristics i)Antenna -Function to thaw snow, 3) Mechanical characteristics -Outward appearance when operated and transporte d, size, weight, 4) Accessories, 5) Electric/physical conditions -Environ mental conditions (temperature, humidity, power outlet, etc.) -Conform to V CCI* standard (*VCCI: Voluntary Control Council for Interference by Data Pro cessing Equipment and Electronic Office Machines.), 6) Other -Technologies that are included in the design specifications to reduce the effect of inter ference to/from neighboring satellites (ii) Peference price (itemized and total sum) and terms -Antenna unit price and terms -- -Modulator-demodurator unit price and terms.
