In 1993, the United States Department of Agriculture acquired perpetual licenses to use Computer Associates (CA) software which USDA installed on its IBM mainframe computers in Kansas City, MO. and New Orleans, LA. In 1997, USDA intends to contract with CA to continue to receive CA's technical support related to USDA's use of the installed CA software. The period of performance including all optional periods will be a maximum of ninety-six (96) months. Technical Support is required for the following CA products: ADS/Generator,ADS/Online, ADS/Batch, Culprit, IDMS Capability for Culprit, IDMS DC, IDMS Online Query, IDMS Presspack, IDMS/ADS-Alive, IDMS Core (CV+DB+IDD), IDMS DBA Toolkit, IDMS Developer Tool Kit, IDMS EXT SQL, Unipack/Analyzer for IDMS, Unipack/QM for IDMS, ACF-2, ACF2-DB2, ASM2, DADS/PLUS, DatamacsII, DatamacsII IDMS, DYMAN/TLMS, Easyproclib, Easytrieve Plus, Easytrieve ESKEY, Easytrieve IDMS/R, Eleven, Examine, JCLCHECK, Librarian, Librarian TSO/SPF, Metacobol, Optimizer, Optimizer II, Seven, Teleview, VTAM/Verify, IDMS Server, Extend DASD, Automate/MVS, Automate/OI, Automate/XC, Multi-Image Manager, Netspy, N-Vision/STX Basic, N-Vision/STX ACI, N-Vision/STX VT100 Emul Option, ENDEVOR/MVS, ENDEVOR/Extended Processors, ENDEVOR/ACM, ENDEVOR/Librarian, ENDEVOR/Infoman, ENDEVOR/ESI, ENDEVOR/DB2, ENDEVOR/DB2/Bridge, ENDEVOR/Quick Edit, ENDEVOR/Parallel Dev Manager, Intertest, Intertest Batch, and SYMDUMP. The only known source currently providing technical support for CA software is Computer Associates, Inc.. Interested parties who can demonstrate their capability and experience in providing Technical Support for CA software may submit documentation which illustrates those capabilities. Alternative software and Technical Support for alternative software products is not within the scope of this requirement. Any documentation provided must include information showing the potential offeror's past experience in supporting CA software listed above as well as pricing. Technical Support pricing levels are based on installed capacity measured in MIPS. The minimum pricing level is 500 MIPS with increases measured in 50 MIPS blocks. This is a notice of intent NOT a Request For Proposals. NO solicitation document exists. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be acknowledged.
