D -- DRAFT RFP FOR INDUSTRY COMMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR INTEGRATED VOICE, DATA, AND VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS AND COMPUTER SYSTEMS SUPPORT AND SERVICES SOL N63394-97-R-2103 DUE 030197 POC Contract Specialist, JANICE CAVE, (805)982-0427, FAX (805) 982-0640 The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (PHD- NSWC), Port Hueneme, CA, is seeking potential sources for an integrated approach to providing voice, data, and video communication services and support. PHD-NSWC is seeking industry comments and recommendations for the Statement of Work (SOW) through a draft RFP. The Government plans on issuing a draft RFP seeking innovative approaches to providing cost-effective integrated communications to meet current requirements and anticipated future technological requirements. The services and support requirements will include: (1) Telecommunication Services, potential sources must be bonded by the California Public Utilities Commission to provide local telephone exchange services; (2) Infrastructure Design, Installation, Maintenance, and Upgrades, potential sources must have the ability to continuously advise PHD- NSWC on emerging technologies and potential applications while making use of the existing infrastructure; (3) Central Computer Facility Operations, potential sources must be capable of personnel for the operation and limited maintenance of the PHD-NSWC Central Computing Facility, 24 per day, 7 days a week; (4) Video Teleconferencing System Operation, the potential source must be capable of providing personnel for the operation, enhancement, and limited maintenance support for the PHD-NSWC Video Teleconferencing Systems; (5) LAN/WAN Operations, the potential source must be capable of providing personnel and equipment for the management, operation, maintenance, repair, provisions, upgrades, engineering, and installation of LAN/WAN systems supporting all of the PHD-NSWC sites. PHD-NSWC sites include Port Hueneme, CA (approximately 2,000 employees); San Diego, CA (approximately 50 employees); Dam Neck, VA (approximately 200 employees); Washington, DC (approximately 3 employees; and a future site at Louisville, KY (approximately 200 employees). Each site may require a different combination of services and support requirements. A SOW will be providedwith the RFP. This is a sources sought synopsis for responsible vendors capable of providing the required services and support.
