The work under this contract includes removing five existing 230-kV transformers, preparing one removed transformer as a permanent spare and placing it into storage: furnishing and installing five new replacement 230-kV transformers, ultimately disposing of four of the removed transformers; and furnishing spare parts, as specified. The Government also has the option of exercising three options. Option One is for performing transformer short circuit tests on one of the transformers. Option Two is for relocating one existing transformer as a temporary spare. Option Three is for removing and disposing of the transformer that was not used a temporary spare. Delivery of the first transformer is to be no later than September 23, 1998. The solicitation was issued January 27, 1997. Proposals are due March 27, 1997. There is a nonrefundable charge of $25 per copy of the solicitation ordered. (0029)
