FISC San Diego is announcing its intent to issue a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00244-97-Q-6236. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisiton Circular 90-45. This requirement is set aside for small business and the SIC code is 3564. The item is a complete breathing apparatus cylinder charging station, one (1) each equal to station air III; mfg is American Bristol Industries or equal. The minimum specifications are as follows: 6000 PSI working pressure, capacities up to 100 SCFM, air and water cooled model, total automatic operation, purification system, electronic air quality monitors, ASME air storage system, modular space efficientdesign, motor overload protection, emergency stop button, high temperature safety stop, low oil safety stop, auto condensate drains, maintenance timer, overtime auto stop, quickly removeable access panels, integrated electronic carbon monoxide and dew point alarms. The unit must meet OSHA and NFPA requirements. The charging station must be able to charge at least these two (2) types of cylinders -- Interspiro and Survive Air.
