FLORES, (202)231-2151 The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is conducting market survey to determine available sources and equipment to upgrade the existing closed circuit television (CCTV) system. The current system is 13 years old, and has antiquated technology and equipment. Site of the installation will be on Bolling AFB, building 6000, Washington, DC. DIA desires to procure and have installed a state-of-the-art CCTV system with all necessary switchers, console equipment and monitoring equipment. Cameras should be high resolution, black and white digital models. Desirable camera features required (but not strictly limited to) will be pan and tilt with zoom lens; video motion detection with immediate recording capability (when threshold motion has been detected); weatherproof housing with heater to prevent freezing; easily serviced; commercially available (GSA schedule is desirous but not an absolute requirement); no geometric distortion; no lag or image retention; double insulated; and, total fiber optic connectivity. Contractors should be able to pull/provide all cabling (to include the fiber optic lines). Operator monitoring equipment should have a genuine ability of being interfaced into a total CCTV/alarm monitoring/card access control system. Interested contractors should provide life cycle information on cameras, switchers, console, and monitoring equipment. The contract will only be for procurement and installation. Therefore, the government requests a detail of all equipment warranties and associated time periods. It is highly desirable that installation have minimal effect on operation of the current CCTV system, and that the contractor be able to install the system within a 90-day window after the contract has been awarded.
