Provide all materials, labor and equipment necessary to fabricate four (4) strut pins including adjusting nuts, retain bolts and four (4) bearing housing assemblies including bearing, spacers, turned nuts and bolts for Melton Hill and Chickamauga Locks lower miter gates. The strut pins shall be made of AISI/SAE 4340 heat treated steel, the bearings made of ASTM B148 C95500 Aluminum-Bronze and the bearing housing weldments made with ASTM A-500 Grade C tubing and ASTM A-572 grade 60 plate. The approximate size of each strut pin is 1' X 1' X 6'. The work is to be completed within 120 days after award of the contract. This is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE and to be classified as a small business, number of employees must be less than 500. The range of this work is between $25,000 and $100,000. Request for Quotations will be made available on or about 21 February 1997 and all quotations will be due by close of business 24 March 1997. Award will be made to a small business firm by purchase order in response to written quotations using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
