The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Office of Space Science (OSS), is releasing a NASA Research Announcement (NRA 97-OSS-02) entitled Astrophysics Data Program (ADP); which solicits basic and applied research proposals for three Types of investigations. Release date of this NRA is February 27, 1997, with a proposal due date of May 27, 1997. Type 1 for research involving the NASA space astrophysics data sets currently archived in the public domain; Type 2 for applied research to provide new and/or improved tools that enhance space based astrophysical observing, data analysis, and/or data management, and Type 3 for Associate Investigator (AI) investigations for the Wide Field Infrared Explorer (WIRE) mission. Participation in this program is open to all categories of organization, domestic or foreign, including educational institutions, for profit, and not-for-profit organizations, NASA Centers, and other US Government agencies.
