Requirement is for a Sole Source procurement to Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) to provide engineering services for flight test support, maintenance support, data processing and analysis, and upgrade to the P-3 UWB/SAR system. It is anticipated that a cost plus fixed fee level of effort contract will be awarded for a one year base period of performance commencing 1 October 1997, with options for four additional year. The estimated level of effort is approximately 10,000 hours for the base period, with an additional 40,000 hours of support for the option years. The sole source nature of this requirement is due to the necessity to provide support for a unique one of a kind radar system built and maintained by ERIM. Configuration consists of L-,C-,X- and UWB transmitter systems, the clutter lock unit, the system control computer system and the Real Time Processing Unit.
