Yuen, (808) 474-3385. Indefinite Quantity Contract to Recycle Fluorescent Tubes, Building 229, Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii. The work includes all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to provide mercury-containing lamp (fluorescent and high intensity discharge (HID) lamps) recycling services. The Government will crush and package the processed material (crushed glass, endcaps, and mercury solids) into Government-furnished containers. The various types of mercury-containing lamps are straight and U-shaped fluorescent tubes, circline fluorescent tubes and HID (high pressure sodium, metal halide, and mercury vapor) lamps. The Contractor shall handle all processed material as hazardous waste. The shall provide the necessary equipment and personnel to load and transport all containers; the Government will not assist in any way. The Contractor shall use only EPA-permitted transporting and recycling companies. SIC Code 4212 applies. The contract term will be a base period of one calendar year plus four option years. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when excercised. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract.
