Young, Contract Specialist, (412)644-5458 The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract to clean, sandblast and paint three submergible tainter gates, three non-submergible tainter gates, and three emergency bulkhead units. Exterior of gates below splash zone to receive either an epoxy or polyurethane paint system; atmospheric exposed exterior areas of gates and bulkhead units to receive a vinyl paint system touchup; interior of submergible gates to receive epoxy paint system. Some paint will be Government-furnished. The work also includes removal of existing debris shields and fabrication of access hatches in the downstream side of the submergible tainter gates. This solicitation will be for a base year and two one year option years for a total of 1095 calendar days. Magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000; Specifications will be available approximately 022197 at a charge of $10.00 for half size drawings and $24.00 for full size drawings; Make checks payable to FAO, US Army, ORD'.
