lisa.billman@SWF01.usace.army.mil. Work consists of abatement and
disposal of lead-based paint and asbestos materials from existing
structures in various locations. Work will include related repairs
where required and replacement of abated materials. Actual quantity of
work performed will be authorized by task orders issued to the
contractor during the term of the contract. Estimated contract duration
will be an initial Base Period Not-to-exceed (NTE) 365 calendar days
from date of contract award plus three (3) Option Periods, each NTE 365
calendar days. Maximum estimated total contract amount for the Base
Period plus all Option Periods is NTE $12,000,000. The maximum
estimated contract amount per contract period is NTE $3,000,000. The
guaranteed minimum is $60,000 for the base period and $30,000 for the
option periods. Task Orders totaling not less than $2,500.00 and no
more than $3,000,000.00 may be issued against this contract.
Solicitation to be issued on or about 21 February 1997. Bid opening on
or about 24 March 1997. Proposals from large business firms must
comply with FAR clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for
submission of a subcontracting plan. The Fort Worth District
subcontracting goals are for specified percentages of the contractor's
total planned subcontract amount to be placed with the following: 55%
with small business, 8.5% with small disadvantaged business, 3% with
women-owned small business, and 5.5% with Historically Black Colleges
and Universities and Minority Institutions. The subcontracting plan
will be due upon notification by the Contracting Officer. The
Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD ROM
and the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use
only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation.

themselves on the Internet to receive a copy of this solicitation(CD
ROM). NO EXPRESS MAIL PROCEDURES WILL BE UTILIZED ON INITIAL MAILINGS
OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. Duration of Base Period is NTE 365 days or
the point in time when $3,000,000.00 has been obligated, whichever is
earlier. Any unused capacity in the base or option periods may be
carried over into the subsequent option period(s). Total contract
duration (base period plus three option periods) will not exceed 4
years from date of contract award. SIC Code is 1799. Small business
size standard is $7 Million. This project will be issued Unrestricted.
