maintenance dredging and disposal of dredged material by hydraulic
dredge and pipeline from portions of Swash Bay and White Trout Creek
Channels, located at the Waterway on the Coast of Virginia in Accomack
County, Virginia, to a width of 60 feet and to a required depth of 6
feet MLLW (NOS) with 1 foot of allowable overdepth. Dredged material
shall be placed in the designated Government-furnished overboard
placement site only. The material to be removed is primarily clay and
silt with some sand, shell, and organic debris. Minimum pumping
distance is approximately 1,500 feet. The work involves dredging
approximately 70,000 cubic yards of material,including 13,000 cubic
yards of estimated accretion from the survey dates to May 1997 and
allowable overdepth. Magnitude of project is estimated between $100,000
and $250,000. Duration of the project is 50 calendar days. This is an
unrestricted procurement. SIC CODE 1629 applies. Solicitation documents
