145DS011. The Government intends to issue a Indefinite Delivery
Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five
consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 54 each and
maximum quantity is 194 each. Delivery will be FOB Destination for the
first ordering period and FOB Origin for the subsequent ordering
periods. Applicable to the CH-47 Aircraft. FOB Destination to
Texarkana, TX. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 50 each
600 DACA and 50 each per month thereafter, first article test report
due 378 DACA. Required delivery without first article test is 54 each
390 DACA and 50 each month thereafter until completion. This
procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources may
submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1,
Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This
proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does
not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open
competition. Approved sources are: MRC Bearings, Jamestown, NY and
Boeing Helicopters and Space Group, Ridley Park, PA. Only approved
sources who have successfully completed the required engineering test
will be considered for award of this flight safety part. The time
required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery
cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are
encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future
solicitations IAW the instructions contained in Section L of the
solicitation. Information on meeting of qualifications may also be

Numbered Notes 22 and 23 apply. The principle medium which the
Government will use for technical data transmittal during this
procurement is the 4.75 inch diameter compact disk with embedded reader
software. Windows 3.1, or Windows NT operating environment and a CD
