The applicable SIC code is 8711. Eligibility to participate may be restricted to firms in either the developmental or Transitional stage. Interested 8(A) firms are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(A) program. The u.s. Army Tank-Automotive and armaments command intends to procure services for the conversion of military specifications and standards to performance based documents as directed by the standardization reform initiative, " blueprint for change" under the Department of Defense standardization program. Efforts will cover the preparation, validation, coordination and finalizarion of documents being released to Navy print in conjunction with the cancellation of military specifications and standards being replaced by commercial item descriptions,non-government standards and performance based documents.
