R -- MARKET SURVEY INSTALLATION LOGISTICS SUPPORT POC POC: major Don Miller (810) 574-7176 The United States army Tank-Automotive and armaments command is conducting a market survey for procurement of installation logistics support services. This market survey and the procurement that will follow is unrestricted, SIC 8744. Estimated cost of service is more than $1,000,000 per year. Period of performance is for a 12 month period starting 1 Oct 1998 and four (4) options years. Installation logistic functions might include but are not limited to inventory control, ordering processing, demand forecasting, warehousing and storage, warehouse safety and security, material handling, packaging, salvage and scrap disposal, and purchasing. Award will be based upon evaluation of the proposals for base performance year and all option years in four areas: technical, management, cost, and past experience. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is determined to offer the best value to the government based upon the evaluation criteria. Therefore, award may be made to other than the low offeror.
