Stringer (205) 895-1152 (Site Code DACA87) The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, intends to award a sole source contract for a Project Teambuilding training course to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. The basis for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This course shall cover topics including project controls, measurement/implementation; managing project teams; organizational alternative; communication/ personality type; and conflict management. Based on a study and evaluation of commercial sponsored advanced training courses for project managers conducted by the institute for Water Resources (IWR) for Civil Works, Military Programs, Environmental/HTRW proponents of project management a HQUSACE, the field tests demonstrated that only the University of Tennessee course was advanced and generic enough to meet the Corps' need for training to enhance the leadership and team working competencies of its experienced project managers. Course location will be Knoxville, TN for all three sessions with dates as follows: 7-11April 1997, 5-9 May 1997 and 9-13 June 1997. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for proposals/offers. Contractors who can provide the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center with the above are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response, which includes as a minimum, the proposed credentials and qualifications, any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis, and all such responses will be considered by the Agency. If no written responses are received within 15 calendar days, a sole source contract will be issued. See numbered Notes 22 and 26. (0034)
