The Government intends to issue a Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 2910 each and the maximum quantity is 6717 each. Delivery is FOB Destination for the first order period and FOB Origin for the subsequent order periods. Applicable to the CH-47 Aircraft. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 1410 each 180 DACA and 1500 each month thereafter, first article test report due 128 DACA. Required delivery without first article test is 1410 each 140 DACA and 1500 each month thereafter until completion. This procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-l, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved Sources are Space-Lok Inc., Burbank, CA 91504, Lamson and Sessions Co., Sylmar, CA 91342, and Boeing Defense and Space Group, Philadelphia, PA 19142. The time required for approval of a new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations IAW the instructions contained in Section L of the solicitation. The principle medium which the Government will use for technical data transmittal during this procurement is the 4.75 inch diameter compact disk with embedded reader software.
