This is a Request for Proposal for a US Army CECOM requirementfor Enhanced Position Reporting Sustem (EPLRS) Receiver Transmitters (RTs) from Hughes Aircraft on a Sole source basis. This acquisition will call for a quantity of 1782 each ADDSI Type RTs which will fully field the Force Package 1 units and a quantity of 345 each 1553 Type RTs fot Air Guard and Air Force requirements. This acquisition includes the retrofit of 1816 each previously supplied RTs. An option in included for up to 1100 each ADDSI Type RTs and up to 400 each 1553 Type RTs. This will be a sole source solicitation to Hughes Aircraft Co., El Segundo, CA the developer and original manfacturer of the EPLRS equipment. This notice is published for informational purposes only. The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has established an Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to provide electronic transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids (IFBs) from Government to Industry. All interested parties wishingto do business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive data from the CECOM EBB system. To become a user of the EBB, you will need an identification code and password in addition to a computer terminal equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the EBB system. A user's identification code and password will be issued upon request along with instructions for downloading the EBB User's Manual.
