The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to procure through full and open competition Universal Water-Activated Gum Stamp Paper for the printing of U.S. postage stamps in accordance with BEP Specification P:PSWA-1 dated January 16, 1997. The BEP intends on awarding multiple delivery order type contracts from a single solicitation. Resulting contracts will be indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type for a base period of twelve months and four twelve month option periods. The total estimated quantity for the base period is 36,300,000 ft., for Option Period 1 39,650,000 ft., for Option Period II 41,800,000 ft., for Option Period III 44,550,000 ft. and for Option Period IV 48,400,000 ft. All awardees will be given a fair opportunity to be considered for each order. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued in February 1997.
