Along with plans and specification the VA will require the A/E to update our CADD floor plans. The project will include the design of a key system that adequately supplies security to this facility. The rekeying of the facility will require new cylinders for all doors, as well as some push-button locks and electronic locks in certain areas. The new signage system will include the total replacement of existing interior/exterior signage, and will be focused on the patient/visitor's ability to find his/her way around. All drawings must be compatible with AutoCADD release 13, and all specifications must be compatible with Microsoft Word version 6.0. The estimated construction cost range for the Rekey Hospital is between $100,000 and $250,000, and the cost range for Replace Signage is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 100 mile radius of the VAMC, Louisville, Kentucky. Complete all work within 90 calendar days of A/E contract award.
