NETHERLANDS -- REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT, PUBLIC WORKS AND WATER MANAGEMENT AMENDING THE REGULATION ON MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ON BOARD SEA-GOING VESSELS AND THE REGULATION ON MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ON BOARD FISHING VESSELS (STRETCHER EQUIPMENT) AND THE REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORT, The following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. Description of content: The Regulations cited under 5 contain technical provisions pertaining to the construction and equipment for stretchers, whereby the prescribed width size may -- under certain conditions -- vary. The Regulation amending the Regulation on Medical Equipment On Board Sea-Going Vessels also includes operational provisions (change of inspection schedule and change of reference to Regulations; see Article I, Sections A and D. 7. Objective and rationale: The purport of the technical provisions for the construction and equipment of stretchers is to ensure that injured and sick passengers are transported in a safe and medically right way. 8.
