AND WATER MANAGEMENT AMENDING THE REGULATION ON MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ON
BOARD SEA-GOING VESSELS AND THE REGULATION ON MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ON
BOARD FISHING VESSELS (STRETCHER EQUIPMENT) AND THE REGULATION OF THE
MINISTER OF TRANSPORT, The following notification is being circulated
in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.97.22. 1. Member to
Agreement notifying: NETHERLANDS. If applicable, name of local
government involved (Articles 3.2 and 7.2). 2. Agency responsible:

Directorate-General of Shipping and Maritime Affairs (DGSM). Agency or

applicable, otherwise national tariff heading. ICS numbers may be
provided in addition, where applicable): The technical provisions
relate to the construction and equipment of stretchers. 5. Title,

the Regulation on Medical Equipment On Board Sea-Going Vessels and the
Regulation on Medical Equipment On Board Fishing Vessels (Stretcher

Works and Water Management Amending the Regulation on
Passenger-Carrying Sailing Vessels (Stretcher Equipment). 6.
Description of content: The Regulations cited under 5 contain technical
provisions pertaining to the construction and equipment for stretchers,
whereby the prescribed width size may -- under certain conditions --
vary. The Regulation amending the Regulation on Medical Equipment On
Board Sea-Going Vessels also includes operational provisions (change of
inspection schedule and change of reference to Regulations; see Article
I, Sections A and D. 7. Objective and rationale: The purport of the
technical provisions for the construction and equipment of stretchers
is to ensure that injured and sick passengers are transported in a safe
and medically right way. 8. Relevant documents: Regulation on Medical
