This project is an expansion to the Lafayette, Louisiana Mail Processing and Distribution Facility (1105 Moss Street) of approximately 41,000 adjusted gross square feet. Lead base paint and asbestos minor abatement is included. The design/build entity will be responsible for furnishing manpower, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the project. Construction cost is estimated to be between $3,000,000 and 3,750,00. Offerors will be required to submit both technical and price proposals. Technical submittals will require evidence of: (1) Experience; (2) Management Plan; (3) Financial Capability; and (4) Organization. Return date for the above project is March 20. 1997. Performance Time is 270 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. A formal preproposal conference is scheduled for Friday, February 28, 1997, at 1 p.m., at the facility, 1105 Moss Street, Room A-108. On-site contact is Plant Manager Geneva Laurent (318/269-4827).
