221-4530. The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities)
Project consists of developing new North Landfill Cap which will be
approximately 35 acres. Work includes clearing and grubbing, removal
and abandonment of 3 monitoring wells, relocation of pipe culvert, some
partial relocation of electrical underground distribution system,
installation of flexible geotextile membrane liner (170,00 SF),
excavation, backfilling, grading, and seeding (31 Acres). The estimated
construction cost of this project is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000.
Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract.
The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after
notice to proceed and complete the work 270 calendar days after receipt
of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated
damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed.
Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be
available on/a February 13, 1997. Half-size plans and specifications
will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages
should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening.
After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It
has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per
firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
